Sport Anywhere

A busy racing season means lots of travel. While in college or high school this might have meant boarding the team bus in a polo and uncomfortable khakis, now we have better options (and higher standards). We set out to create a polo that wouldn’t look sloppy at the airport, with the comfort and performance you’d expect from a lightweight Merino top. Merino wool’s natural benefits make this polo ultra-packable – creases or folds will relax with your body heat – and odor-resistant. We’ve combined comfort and convenience in one classic silhouette.

Comfort is a top priority on a long travel day. We selected an incredibly soft, Merino wool blend that’s lightweight and breathable. Wool is naturally antibacterial, repels moisture and regulates temperature. The blend we selected is packable and not at all itchy. To keep the fit refined, we used a rib knit for the polo collar, banded sleeve cuffs and bottom.

Boise to Boylston

2:09 marathoner and Tracksmith team member Mick Iacofano flew from Boise to Boston to race his first Marathon Major. With two flights and a 4:00 a.m. start to his travel day, dressing for comfort was a top priority to ensure he felt rested and ready to go on race day. On Marathon Monday, Mick went out with the lead pack and hung on to finish 17th overall and 6th American in 2:11. Not bad for his first effort on the world stage.

"Given multiple chances, I would run that race the same way every time," Mick wrote post-race. "I believe I can be a world-class athlete and that's who I need to race when I hit the road. While disappointed with the results, I couldn't be happier with effort.”
