The first tracksuits were rooted in running, emerging in the early ‘60s on icons like John Carlos, Tommie Smith, and Wyomia Tyus around the same time that day-off leisurewear began to make its mark in French sports apparel. After being adopted by fashion in the subsequent decades, we elevated the classic cut for our Federation Collection, honoring the summer of sport. Our take is upgraded with a ponte fabric, a blend that leverages stretch, comfort, and durability, to craft the ultimate tracksuit jacket to toe the line between movement and rest. The classic tracksuit silhouette is recreated in a premium cotton blend. The sturdy yet soft ponte fabric holds its shape, but also allows for stretch, promoting a comfortable fit.
Stowed Away
Featuring three internal drop-in pockets, two external drop-in pockets on either side, and one secure zip pocket along our signature sash detail, the jacket has ample room for carrying purposes.

With a ribbed collar and cuffs, cleanly-finished bias binding, and side taping that features our racing stripe, the details of the jacket combine craftsmanship and quality with the traditional tone of Tracksmith.

on Tradition
The Federation Track Jacket incorporates traditional signatures of the style dating back to its origin while weaving in distinct Tracksmith elements. Like the classic silhouette, the jacket includes a full-length center zip, a high ribbed collar, and contrasting side taping; But with a modern twist, the design details hint at our racing stripe and our symbolic sash. Although touting the comfort and stretch of a conventional tracksuit, our jacket allows for a more relaxed fit and utilizes internal bias binding techniques to enhance the construction from the inside out. Ultimately, the Federation Track Jacket finds the perfect harmony between the old and the new.
