This mama runner loves the fit, cushion, energy return and obviously the beautiful sleek design of the Eliot Racer.
In my 15 + years as a professional runner my sign of a approval for a shoe is if I can take them out of the box, lace them up and head up the door and come home unscathed. No blisters, no odd feelings in my feet or toes. The Eliot racer did that and more for me. Great for Long Run workouts!
I can see myself using this shoe for workouts, long runs, and long run workouts well into the summer marathon training block. It feels like it has enough softness to stay comfortable, along with responsiveness for quicker runs. Love the look, feel and quietness of this shoe!
First I love the traditional, classy look of the shoe! But most importantly, I have enjoyed the snappy feel while I run fast. I've enjoyed the shoe at 5K to marathon pace. I've also love the quietness of this shoe. Probably the first recent race shoe that someone can hear me running from a mile away!!

A comfortable racing shoe
The Eliot Racer is very comfortable. The foam is very soft but also responsive. I was surprised. The carbon plate helps promote forward motion without being to aggressive. The upper is light and breathable, while the toe box felt roomy.

The Real Deal
The Eliot Racer is an ELITE shoe that is comparable to all the other shoe brands out there. The feel and flow of the shoe feels natural, especially for me as a professional track and field athlete. The shoe holds up great and helps a ton in fast reps to threshold reps, it feels like it was built for me!

We’ve reimagined the super shoe silhouette, pushing the boundaries of performance with a considered, novel construction and best-in-class materials to deliver the highest energy return of any shoe tested in the lab. And it does so with an abundance of cushioning, keeping your legs feeling fresh for longer. The Eliot Racer has all the power you need to perform come race day, but without the visual theatrics of a standard super shoe. That way, your time does the talking.

- Premium materials promise a lightweight racing shoe, with a US Men’s 9 weighing roughly 7.7 oz (218 g)

- Distinguished drop-in, free-floating midsole minimizes glue, allowing for seamless compression that maximizes cushioning
- Innovative supercritical foam distribution in the drop-in midsole, with 22mm in the forefoot and 12mm in the heel for enhanced propulsion

- If your shoes become wet throughout wear, we’d recommend the following steps:
- Unlace and open up the shoe
- Remove the insoles
- Pack with paper
- Remove wet paper and repeat
- Air dry
- A race day shoe with ample forefoot volume and a slimmer heel for better performance and optimal fit.
- The Eliot Racer fits slightly shorter compared to the Eliot Runner, so if you are in between sizes or like a bit more room in your racing shoe, we would recommend sizing up a half size.
