When it came to crafting a short for the Olympic Trials, we wanted to design an ultra-lightweight kit that could perform in warm weather and with plenty of room to carry fuel. These three-inch racing shorts with three internal pockets performed so well in Atlanta, we’re introducing them to the permanent collection.

We built these shorts to be as light as possible. They’re crafted from a four-way stretch, French-made knit woven that weighs in at 78 grams per square meter. The shell features a combination of polyester and elastane that is breathable, wicking and dries quickly without clinging to the skin. The liner is made from an even lighter knit woven fabric and features three internal pockets for fuel.
This feather-weight design features minimal trim and utilizes bonded seams throughout. The waistband is faced in our signature racing stripe elastic to minimize bulk and sits smoothly against the body, while a channeled drawstring allows you to cinch the waistband tighter as needed. The shorts deliver a loose, airy fit for added air flow and to help prevent the fabric from sticking to the skin when sweaty.
138 athletes raced In Atlanta in our new OTQ Shorts, putting the amateur spirit on display on Peachtree Street. Over rolling hills and into a brisk headwind, they fought for every place.
