Church of the Long Run - Boston
This week, we will be running 16 miles to Jamaica Pond, with a workout included. We'll warm up 3.5 miles to Jamaica Pond and complete 2x3 miles at marathon pace with 0.5 miles recovery followed by 3 minutes at marathon pace, 2 minutes at half marathon pace, and 1 minute at 10k pace (all with 30 seconds recovery). Finally, we'll cool down 3.5 miles back to the Trackhouse. This route offers the opportunity to lengthen or shorten the run by adding or removing laps around Jamaica Pond. Before starting, enjoy complimentary coffee and bananas. Route details will be published on our Strava event page. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m., followed by a brief overview of the route at 8 a.m. These meet-ups are free and open to runners of all abilities. We are asking all runners joining us for the first time to fill out this waiver before arriving.
