I’m in the Pacific Northwest, so it’s common for me to start a run dry and end that run being rained on. With a top like the harrier, I don’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain, because it retains warmth even when wet. To me, the real magic of this top is that it doesn’t smell after one run (or two…or three…) like synthetic tops. I can comfortably run anywhere from 35-55 degrees F in ... Read more

The perfect base layer for super cold days that can hold its own on days when the chill isn’t so bad. It’s lightweight warmth but regulates the heat so well that it’s still comfortable when the temp gets above 45/50 degrees. I wear this all the time, seriously it’s so great!!!

My go to option for any runs below 9°C either as main garment or under layer. I'm a heavy sweater yet I only have to wash these after 3 consecutive wears, and even then it's just to be on the safe side of smells. Like it so much I got it in another color as well.

Good but be careful with the sizing

The Harrier long sleeve does everything Tracksmith says it will. Careful it runs small in my experience. I would size up but the sleeves might be too long. Also, Tracksmith could consider changing the placement of the embroidered hare -- it's right on the cuff of the left sleeve, and I've had to frequently pull it up or push it up to look at my sports watch.

Tried and True

We were the very first running brand to use Merino as a performance fabric, a monumental move that created the ultimate natural fiber running top. One of Tracksmith's original products, refined over the years, perfecting the design utilizing the soft and durable material to create a layer that moves with you, matching the rigor of your runs year after year after year. A constant in Tracksmith’s wardrobe, the Harrier has endured the test of time for a reason: what works, just works.

EDITOR'S NOTES

"This shirt is so soft and cozy, it makes me excited to go for a run even on days when getting out of bed is a struggle."

—New York Magazine

Merino is Magic

Merino wool marries feel and organic functionality. It regulates temperature and wicks away moisture with an ultra-soft finish to keep pace with your performance. It’s resistant to odors even after multiple wears without washing, making it just as tenacious as you are.

The Test of Time

As a steady staple in the Tracksmith wardrobe since early days, the Harrier Long Sleeve has proven to persist through the test of miles throughout the years, making it the ultimate natural fiber running shirt.

Miraculous Merino

When it comes to performance fabrics, Merino wool is a freak of nature. If you’ve never worn it before, you’re in for a revelation. A natural, surprisingly soft fiber that stays warm even when drenched with sweat, it also resists odor without washing for longer than you can bear to imagine. It’s the ideal material to beat the chill of early mornings and transition through the warmth after sunrise.

Mitchell (center) is 5' 10" and wears a size Medium.

One Top for Two-a-Days

When you up the training to two-a-days, polyester just doesn’t cut it. Even the lightest early morning shake-out will leave a synthetic top in need of a wash. Our Merino-nylon blend is practically impervious to odor. And we tested it the hard way, running morning and evening through the dog days of the Boston summer. One run? No problem. A week of runs? Still funk-free. One month without a wash? Put it this way: we lost our nerve long before this natural fabric showed any sign of losing its battle against bacteria.

Hardy Harriers

Formal cross country traces its history to the 19th century and an English game called Hares & Hounds. It's how cross country runners earned the nickname, “Harriers.” Whether you're training for a marathon or in the build up to track season, there's no better long sleeve training top than the Harrier. Made for whatever coach or Mother Nature throws your way.
